چکیده
Squaliobarbus curriculus , commonly known as red-eye fish, is widely distributed in East Asia. It one of the important aquatic germplasm resource and economic species Pearl River. To give suggestions for better protection management, we investigated its life history conducted elasticity analyses. Samples ( n = 451) were collected between 2016 2017 from western River estuary. There no significant differences length-weight relationships females males W 0.00001SL 3.121 ). The von Bertalanffy growth function was L t 553.2 [1 − e −0.111(t+1.009) ]. estimated length at 50% sexual maturity 209.6 200.0 mm males, both 3 years age. Oocyte size-frequency distribution suggested batch spawning. Fecundity ranged 9,407 175,086 eggs per fish (mean 51,040, or 143.9 eggs/g weight). understand ecological phenotypic plasticity S. meta-analyses on all available data this species. Our results showed that standard lengths ages 2 estuary significantly smaller than upper reaches basin, there also obvious fecundity oocyte size. For more, correlated negatively with latitude. Elasticity analysis juveniles’ (aged 1–3) survival had largest contribution to population rate, which suggests management efforts should focus early stages.

Plasticity in life-history traits.
We describe the impact of recent life-history plasticity theory on insect studies, particularly on the interface between genetics and plasticity. We focus on the three-dimensional relationship between three key life-history traits: adult size (or mass), development time and growth rate, and the connections to life cycle regulation, host plant choice, and sexual selection in seasonal environment...
متن کاملPhenotypic plasticity for life history traits in Drosophila melanogaster. I. Effect on phenotypic and environmental correlations
All 36 possible crosses among 6 homozygous lines of Drosophila melunoguster were tested for their phenotypic response in developmental time and dry weight at eclosion to variation in temperature and yeast concentration. This method was chosen because it allows one to produce the same heterozygous offspring repeatedly for testing under more conditions than could be handled at once. We estimated ...
متن کاملLife history and other biological traits of Capoeta buhsei (Kessler,1877) in the Gharachay River, Saveh
Capoeta buhsei is native species in the Namak Lake basin and biological aspects of life history of this fish in Iranian waters is not very well known. Life history of this fish examined by collecting 92 samples in Gharachay River. Sampling done by using Electroshoker in July and January 2011 and October 2012. The maximum age was found +4 years in female. Sex Ratio (male: female) was 1:0.73, and...
متن کاملThe characteristics of nutrients and eutrophication in the Pearl River estuary, South China.
In the spring of 1998, 24-h time series and synchronization of vertical profiles of NO(3)-N, NO(2)-N, NH(3)-N, PO(4)-P, chlorophyll a, suspended substance, salinity, temperature and other chemical parameters were taken at 10 stations in the Pearl River estuary in order to analyze the status and characteristics of nutrients and eutrophication. The results indicated that dissolved inorganic nitro...
متن کامل3d Numerical Model for Pearl River Estuary
A 3D numerical model with orthogonal curvilinear coordinate in the horizontal direction and sigma coordinate in the vertical direction has been developed. This model is based on POM (the Princeton Ocean Model). In this model a second moment turbulence closure sub-model is embedded, and the stratification caused by salinity and temperature is considered. Furthermore, in order to adapt to estuary...
